WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!
One of the best days of my life!!!!!
This week was a lot of fun! Two main reasons!
Reason number 1.
There is no easy way to say this without sounding like a
creeper so I'll just say it.....
I LOVE KIDS haha
Our investigator Paul, remember him? Well we met with him 2
times this week, and he brought his son with him. I just had a blast running up
and down the stairs with him, running around, putting him on my shoulders and
just playing again! It was so so so fun and brought back a part of me I really
miss! And I really miss Kres and Beckham now! (my two favorite cousins)
Reason number 2.
Volleyball!!!!!
On Saturday me and Elder Lyndon were walking through the
subway station and there was this volleyball event! Turns out it was a prep
rally for the pro team for Incheon! It was so much fun!
They had a spike machine and you have to hit harder than 35
km per hour. When I asked if I could try they tried to explain how to hit and
show me the right form (it was terrible) I hit 75, the hardest they have ever
seen. I know I could have hit a lot harder but I was in missionary clothes and
there was a pretty cheerleader standing right next to me! Plus I was spiking it
to the ground and the speed reader wasn't on the ground so it was like reading
the downward velocity not the horizontal....oh whale... haha but it was
fun
Then we had to take a picture while jumping on the
trampoline then write something on the wall for the pro team. After doing all
that you could get a free wallet I got two because I hit the ball so hard!
Then the pro team showed up and they did some Q and A and
some dancing and just interacting with fans! There was an activity that the pro
players would wear a T-shirt and have fans sign it. Me and Elder Lydon were in
the very back and we like waved to a player and signaled him to come to us. He
nodded his head and when the game started he ran right to us and handed the pen
to us first! He is my new favorite pro athlete! hahaha
Over all a ton of fun!!
So spiritually this week I learned a really good
lesson.
I have been doing a moral inventory of myself so to speak
and this week I was working on attention. When I started this task I just
listed for about 2 hours every thing I do that bothers me. The weaknesses I
have. That sort of stuff. And I was just brainstorming. So when I came to this
weakness I didn't really know what it meant and I don't remember what I was
thinking when I wrote it down. But none the less I worked on it.
Here is what I learned;
You don't have to be the center of attention to have fun
Even if people give you attention you won't be happy
Giving attention to others can help build and strengthen
relationships
I also learned this when looking at the word attention a
different way;
Pay attention to the good in people not the bad
Pay attention to your own weaknesses before others
Pay attention to the spirit
Someone is ALWAYS paying attention to you
Just a couple good things I learned and am trying to work
on!
Have a great week!
