Week 43

August 6, 2017

This week was an adventure!!!!!!!!

The beginning of the week was a little slow! We didn't do anything special on Pday and on Tuesday we had zone conference. Zone conference was a lot of fun! We learned a lot about working to have better unity with members and companions!

Then Wednesday the adventures began!

Me and Elder Lydon were out proselyting and it was really really hot! We walked by this toy store that we walk by almost everyday. For 2 months we haven't gone in, and I said let's see what is in there... really I wanted a break from the heat, but I also wanted to look at toys. There were cool board games and scooters. Barbies and Legos, ya know the typical toy store.... but then, I found something. in the back corner there were BB guns haha. They were really cheap, about 3 dollars me and Elder Lydon checked the rule book, nothing against it. That was a green light for us and we bought them! Needless to say that our house is covered in BB's and our bodies are covered in welts! haha lots of fun!

Then Thursday we had planned to visit out ward mission leaders family and our bishop. With the zone conference centered on members we wanted to ask how and what we need to do to help the ward. The ward mission leader was not there, so we ate with his wife and daughter and had a great practice lesson and shared a message! BTW his daughter Mina Park is so cool! haha and their mom is super hilarious so it was a fun day! Then we went to bishop and discussed the ward for about an hour. It was very useful to say the least! But then he wanted to take us out to eat. When discussing what we should eat, Elder Lydon accidentally said Elder Good eats fish well! In Korean you said eats well or can't eat well. Or simply likes or doesn't like. So with bishop thinking I love fish.... we went to a fish place. It was a whole fish and fish guts! yum..... lets just say with a lot of prayers and kimchi to cover up the taste I got it down haha! But it was all worth it because we rode in bishops car an Audi 8!!! by far the nicest car I have ever been in!!!!

Then Friday we had one heck of a night! We have an investigator that lived in LA for 9 years and really loves Taco Bell. So he wanted to take us to Taco Bell. Well it was really far away, almost an hour and we left at 7:30 and it was just a mess and basically we spent 4 hours trying to get Taco Bell and we finally got it and it was amazing, but not worth it! haha long night

Then Saturday... well lets just say we think we might have bed bugs or fleas or something because I am getting eaten alive!! Man I am dying and we counted and I have 88 bites below my knees! So Saturday we did somethings to get ride of those!

Sunday, well Sister Turner (our mission presidents wife) told me to take Benadryl and lets just say I was out at 6pm last night and woke up at 8 today. Rough haha but I feel really good now!

This week was really great we had two people at church and they are both sincere awesome people! Paul and his son came and a new person! And another person that me and Elder Lydon met on the street a few days ago came as well! It was awesome!

On Saturday me and Elder Lydon read the Book of Mormon in English with our members. It is always really fun and really good! This week we were reading 1 Nephi chapter 7
verse 12 goes like this
Yea, and how is it that ye have forgotten that the Lord is able to do all things according to his will, for the children of men, if it so be that they exercise faith in him? Wherefore, let us be faithful to him.

We then had a very good discussion on this verse. There were a lot of good points, but I just realized, or was reminded that we can do all things with the Lord. He is powerful! In this verse Nephi constantly tells his brothers "how is it that you could forget ___?" and it got me thinking the Lord has done so much for us and He continues to do things for us everyday. We often either don't recognize or forget really easily.

I challenge you all to be better and recognizing the Lord's hand and to be better at always remembering him!
