Well this week was full of fun adventures.
Nothing really cool happened this week. We are still
exploring everything and trying to get a grip on the new area, new members, new
everything.
Our one adventure for this week was going to bring an old
man in our ward some food, we were pretty lost and wandering around for a
couple hours... but we found him,,,, and when he opened the door.... well...
clothes were lacking... we gave him the food and he was thankful... but it was
pretty funny!
Me and my companion decided we wanted to work out harder....
so we started running stairs... our apartment has 23 floors and we went up and
down, and up and down.... one thing you have to remember is missionaries eat a
lot and exercise 30 minutes a day... and half of that is a prayer and half of
that is stretching. Man I about puked...
We are still trying our best to open the area strong. We
spent a lot of time on the streets and talking to people and a lot of time
inside planning and organizing what we had to do for this week.
But inviting people to come unto Christ is not easy, and its
especially difficult for Koreans. We worked hard and tried our best, but got
nothing. We gave out copies of The Book of Mormon and got phone numbers.
On Sunday all we had to report on was that we had someone
punk out on an appointment, someone said he would come to church but didn't, and
we were meeting with someone tomorrow. Not very good, and I felt bad and was
embarrassed. Then our Ward Missionary leader was so happy. So proud. He told
the whole ward that missionary work is hard and it is hard to get people to
talk to you and we did amazing and it is so impressive that in one week we had
3 people to report on!
He was so proud. and we did so little, and I really felt
that God was speaking through him. God has told us that by small and simple
means big things are brought to past. Though I felt like I did nothing, that my
efforts were wasted, they are never wasted. If we are serving God our efforts
are never wasted, as a missionary, or as a member.
