I want to start by sharing a huge miracle... I know... I don’t
share these often! haha
This week on the way home from a missionary meeting we had
just been trained on how to be more bold with our purpose as missionaries and
how to have more quality finding and how to leave people with a feeling of
"exquisite wonder" after we talk to them on the streets.
So right after that meeting I was feeling very pumped and
motivated and I was talking to a kid on the bus ride home. We talked for about
an hour. He was a young kid that was a cheerleader and he liked games and
movies. He was pretty good at English. So I was talking to him and didn't
really share my purpose. I tried to bring up the words missionary and Jesus as
much as possible but I couldn't get the conversation going. I had a prayer in
my heart that I would be able to apply what I just learned from the meeting we
had just had.
Then a thought came to me that I should watch a Mormon
message with him. I had some doubt and almost didn't do it but I asked him if
he knew Easter. He said yes and I asked if I could share a video our church
made about Easter. He said yes and we watched it together while sitting on this
very noisy bus. The spirit was strong. So
strong. I bore testimony of Jesus Christ right when the video finished and it
was powerful. I then asked him if he would want to meet missionaries again and
he said yes and gave me his number.
It was one of the most special experiences I have ever had
proselyting. I am grateful for great mission leaders and training. I am also
thankful that the Lord has provided this new technology.
OK now for this week Monday was awesome! We played screen
baseball with a dope investigator! He had lots of friends and we did Americans
vs Koreans! super super super super dope!
Tuesday I got transferred to Suwon! My new companion is
Elder Dante Morazan. He is dope and he likes to party. We have has a lot of fun
already and I am super excited to work with him!!!
This week we had a few appointments but nothing major
happened. There are some really really really cool people here and the
investigators are awesome!
Saturday we had an awesome awesome ward cleaning and
barbeque party! I loved it and the ward is awesome! I am already so close with
a lot of members I love it so so so so so much!
Sunday we had a family come to church! The dad was a member
but has been less active for 30 years and has decided to come back to activity.
I sat with his daughter and son and they are so awesome! It was so cute! The
daughter tried to quiz me on math! She would write an equation and I would
solve it. Then she would do it herself. She told me I was wrong a couple times,
but all I said was 3x1 is 3 not 1. Then she would say oh yeah you were right
(she is 10)
I love it here and hope you all have a great week!
