Well this week was pretty great. Not much important things
happened other than ELDER HOLLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha yes Elder Holland came to visit Korea this week! And he
spent 3 hours with just the missionaries! It was amazing!!!
So this week started off pretty bad. I got super duper
homesick and was struggling. But luckilyIi have an amazing companion! That
helped me a lot. Two exchanges happened this week and it was a lot of fun
to be with new missionaries and to have them come in.
Then the end of the week I got pretty sick so not much
happened.
Now for Elder Holland!
So first of all we got to shake his hand which was pretty
cool! Then he talked with us for a long time about lots of things. But he
really focused on how important it is for investigators to have spiritual
experiences and read the Book of Mormon.
He also talked about how the Gospel is for EVERYONE. He
talked about how if we say "well this person probably wouldn't accept the
gospel so I am not going to say anything." We are passing eternal judgement
on that person. He said we can not do that. I think that applies especially on
a mission, but also to people at home. Never be afraid to share the gospel. We
need to give everyone a chance to accept, just a chance.
I can't really remember much of what was said, but I payed
attention to what I felt. I felt that this was a literally Apostle of God. I
know that he is called. He was powerful and full of the spirit. When he bore
his testimony the spirit confirmed to me his words were true.
He talked as if he knew 100% that Christ lives and this is His church. He said he knows more than he knows that we sit here and he stands
here. He was powerful! I know that he is a true Apostle of God.
He also talked to us on Sunday. He talked about the
importance of children. To God, to Jesus, to the First presidency and the quorum
of the 12 Apostles. He talked about how important children are and how important
it is for us to raise them in the gospel and respect them!
He gave an amazing blessing on this country. It was truly
an amazing experience!
I have been really struggling but I realize one thing. This
church is true. I know it. I know it.
Through my struggles over the past 4 months I have realized
that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ and that I need to be in
Korea. It was hard for me to give up everything. But I know this church is true
and that's why I did it.
I love you all and hope you have a good week!
Elder Goon
