Week 12

January 1, 2017

Happy new year!!!!!

It kinda blows to think I wont even be home till 2018 but its ok. I like missionary life and work. Its alright.

This week was ssssuuuppperrr busy and flew by! First of all after email on pday we had a ping pong tournament and played board games. We played BANG! which is like my favorite dice game. This was card and it was a little different and way way more fun! Then we met a super awesome recent convert. Me and him got a long really well and he is super super cool!

Tuesday we had lunch with a member at an American place. I had a burger and it was sooo good! as much as I love Korean food I miss hamburgers. Also me and Elder Perry went on splits and he taught me a lot of things and helped me get over my fears of talking to random people.
I had my first lesson with him and it went to well! I could understand what everyone was saying and could add a lot to the lesson. I extended the invitation to baptism and he accepted! It was way cool, my first lesson ever I get a baptismal date!

Wednesday we had a super awesome district meeting. It was about goals and how we can be better missionaries and get over our fears. It was super duper helpful. That night as a district we had ne ne chicken and sticker boarded. It was loads of fun.

Thursday and Friday were pretty plain days. We had another party this Saturday so we had to plan and prepare for that a lot.

Saturday we spent all morning preparing for our proselyting activity before the party. We made huge posters that said out of all of these questions which are you most curious about?; where did we come from, why are we here, where are we going? We had about 25 missionaries talking to people and 30 singing hymns and playing the violin. It was super cool and really successful.

Then our party was awesome! There were all the missionaries from our stake there and less active, recent converts, and investigators. We all did little skits and it was funny... but I forgot my camera so I couldn't record it... sorry mom. Then we had dinner and we had burritos! I miss American ish food. Like I said above. But it was lots of fun and really good. The stake bought every missionary a box of donuts and some lotion and socks. Since the party was at our building we got all the left overs..... we got a lot, I have had so much donuts I am going to die. The ward feeds us so well and our fridge is overflowing! We have stuff on our balcony because there is no room and it is cold enough out side. It is too nice.

Then Sunday Elder and Elder Perry were sick so we stayed home all day. It was relaxing and a lot of fun. I studied a lot and got some phone calls done. Anyways super good and fun week!

Little side note of something funny we did. While Elder Young was showering we picked the lock and poured water on him that had been in the freezer for 2 hours. He screamed like a girl and got so mad. He ran out naked and chased us and got us all wet. It was super fun!

Well I am off to go play volleyball! I am so excited. The whole zone is talking crap and I am about to shut them all up because they have never played before. I am excited!!!!

Love you all, happy new year!~
Elder Goon
